Welcome To Indian Institute Of Oriental Heritage

The role of consciousness is vitally important for understanding Oriental Heritage. Consciousness that develops from the soul that lies in a living being and a part of supreme that monitors Human activities.

Established in 1975 Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage has been leaving no stone unturned to extract good human values from various streams of learning that developed for millennium in India and other Asian Countries to match with the modern science and Technology to make our life serene, gracious, purposeful and tension free. India’s contribution in several walks of life such as religion, philosophy, language, architecture, music, dance, literature, and even science are wide. This includes the decimal system that lies in the very foundation upon which modern science and technology have been built. Nevertheless the essence of India’s spirit lies elsewhere.

Oriental Learning as named by the western scholars who visited India in 16th and 17th Centuries means the Providence-bestowed profound knowledge and wisdom that the Indian saints have had. Oriental way of life was predominantly originated from a sphere close to spirituality. The observance of various rituals and activities aimed at acquiring wisdom about the ultimate truth reflect what a super-scientific force works at the backdrop of Oriental Learning and Heritage.

Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage holds international conference since 1978.

Some of the activities of the Institute are mentioned below.

The institute works tirelessly to restore the glory of Sanskrit which includes the revival of Sanskrit Colleges and Universities and to preserve vast number of Sanskrit books as well as manuscripts. The institute runs classes on the Veda, Vedanta Upanishad, Nyay, Indian Philosophy, Smriti Shastra, Kavya, Vyakaran, Architecture, Ayurved, Yoga, Meditation, Tantra Shastra, Vastu Shastra etc. The institute holds seminars at intervals. It renders social service like removal of illiteracy, drug addiction, dowry etc. Social services like blood donation camps, free medical camps etc. are also organized by the institute. It extends its helping hands to flood victims and other distressed people. It has been taking preparatory steps to provide self-employment to the handicapped, mentally retarded youths and hopeless men and women. It has established art school to impart training on classical music, dance and drama. It has a library having a good collection of rare and valuable classical and useful books. It encourages Ayurvedic system of treatment and yogic activities.
